The Canadian Rockies are one of the most breathtaking landscapes on earth — and the drive into the mountains should be the beginning of an experience, not a source of stress. Black Sedan's private transportation from Calgary to Banff, Canmore, and Lake Louise lets you sit back, watch the peaks rise out of the foothills, and arrive at your destination completely relaxed. Whether you're flying into YYC and heading straight to the mountains, or setting out from the city for a weekend escape, our professional chauffeurs make every kilometre feel first-class.
Flying into Calgary? We offer direct YYC to Banff airport transfers →
Renting a car from YYC sounds practical until you factor in: the rental counter queue after a red-eye flight; winter mountain driving on the Trans-Canada — a highway that closes or goes to chain-up conditions multiple times per season; parking in Banff townsite in summer, which is near-impossible without Parks Canada's mandatory shuttle system; and arriving at your hotel in the dark, after driving mountain roads in snow, too tired to enjoy your first evening.
A Black Sedan mountain transfer eliminates every one of these problems. You walk out of YYC arrivals and your vehicle is there. Your chauffeur drives the Trans-Canada — a road they travel multiple times per week in every season and every condition. You arrive at the Fairmont Banff Springs or Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise refreshed, relaxed, and ready for dinner. The return journey, your chauffeur picks you up at your hotel door — no rental car return, no shuttle, no 6am alarm to get to a lot.
For ski trips, the case is even stronger: our vehicles have full gear capacity for ski bags, boot bags, and helmets, and our chauffeurs are experienced with the Lake Louise and Sunshine Village approach roads in winter conditions. You simply ski, and we handle everything else.
Approximately 1 hour from Calgary (45 minutes from YYC), Canmore sits where the prairies meet the mountains. The dramatic Three Sisters peaks frame the town to the south, Ha Ling Peak rises sharply to the north, and the Bow River valley stretches westward into Banff National Park. Canmore has evolved from a coal-mining town into one of Alberta's most sophisticated destinations — with acclaimed restaurants on Main Street and Bow Valley Trail, world-class hiking on Grassi Lakes and the Ha Ling summit trail, and a growing arts and culinary scene that rivals any urban neighbourhood.
We serve all Canmore accommodation — the Solara Resort, the Malcolm Hotel, Falcon Crest Lodge, Copperstone Resort, and private residences throughout Silvertip, Three Sisters Mountain Village, and Cougar Creek. Many of our guests use Canmore as a base for day trips into Banff National Park, and we offer full-day and hourly chauffeur service from Canmore to surrounding attractions for those who want to explore without a rental car.

Approximately 1.5 hours from Calgary, Banff National Park is Canada's oldest and most beloved wilderness destination. The town of Banff sits at 1,383 metres, framed by Mount Rundle, Sulphur Mountain, and Tunnel Mountain, with the turquoise Bow River winding through its heart. Banff Avenue is internationally known — restaurants, boutiques, and galleries that draw visitors from every continent — and the surrounding landscape offers some of the most accessible wilderness in North America.
We serve all Banff addresses, with particular expertise at the landmark properties: the Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel (the "Castle in the Rockies," arguably Canada's most famous hotel), the Rimrock Resort Hotel perched above town on Sulphur Mountain, the Moose Hotel & Suites, Elk + Avenue Hotel, and every address in Banff townsite. Our chauffeurs know Banff's one-way streets, the hotel loading zones, and how to navigate peak-season congestion — and they can point out elk, deer, and the occasional bear sighting along the Trans-Canada en route.
Popular Banff experiences our guests frequently visit: the Banff Upper Hot Springs, the Banff Gondola to the summit of Sulphur Mountain, Johnston Canyon, Vermilion Lakes at sunset, the Cave and Basin National Historic Site, and boat tours on Lake Minnewanka. We can time your transfer arrival to align with any of these activities.

Approximately 2 hours from Calgary, Lake Louise is one of the most photographed places on earth — and photographs do not do it justice. The Victoria Glacier feeds the impossibly turquoise water, reflecting the surrounding peaks in a way that stops people in their tracks regardless of how many mountain lakes they've seen. The Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise, rising directly from the lakeshore with the glacier as its backdrop, is one of Canada's most storied hotels and the centrepiece of a year-round destination that includes world-class skiing, glacier hiking, and Moraine Lake.
Lake Louise Ski Resort spans four mountain faces with over 4,200 acres — the largest ski resort in the Canadian Rockies. For winter guests, private transportation from YYC directly to Lake Louise is the most practical and comfortable option. Our vehicles have full capacity for skis, boots, and gear, and our chauffeurs drive the Lake Louise access road and the Trans-Canada winter corridor as a matter of routine. In summer, the area offers access to the Plain of Six Glaciers tea house hike, Moraine Lake (by Parks Canada shuttle — one of the most spectacular glacier-fed lakes in the world), and the start of the Icefields Parkway.
